2025 VETS-4212 Filing Season To Start August 1, Deadline September 30

July 31, 2025

What's New

The 2025 filing season for the annual VETS-4212 report opens August 1, 2025, the Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL-VETS) has announced. The VETS-4212 submission is mandatory for any contractor that held one or more contracts or subcontracts with the federal government in 2024 valued at $150,000 or more. Completed VETS-4212 forms for the 2025 filing season are due September 30, 2025.

Completing the VETS-4212 report requires a snapshot profile of a company’s workforce by location, protected veteran status, and job category. Covered contractors also must report the number of their protected veteran hires during the preceding 12-month period.

CWC’s Guide To Filing Annual VETS-4212 Report will help members navigate these requirements.

What It Means

CWC has confirmed with DOL-VETS that it has not changed the filing specifications and procedures from the previous filing season. DOL-VETS encourages covered contractors to file their VETS-4212 reports online, and sooner rather than later, to avoid any technical challenges that the DOL-VETS website may experience as the filing deadline approaches.

What You Should Do

More information about the 2025 VETS-4212 filing requirements is available on the VETS-4212 Federal Contractor Reporting webpage, along with the VETS-4212 Form itself. If a contractor has any technical questions or concerns regarding the filing of its VETS-4212 reports, it should contact the VETS Service Desk via email at [email protected] or by phone at 1-866-237-0275. CWC members can contact CWC for assistance at [email protected].
