This week, the House Appropriations Committee approved legislation that would effectively eliminate OFCCP and impose significant cuts on other parts of the Labor Department, consistent with the Trump Administration’s request.
Under the bill approved by the Committee on September 9, 2025, OFCCP would receive no funding in fiscal year 2026. The Wage and Hour Division’s budget would be cut by 9.6%, to $235 million. The same bill would also cut the budget of the NLRB by one-third, to $200 million, a steeper cut than the White House had proposed.
The Committee also advanced legislation that would fund the EEOC at the level requested by the White House — $435.4 million — a cut of 4.3%.
