On June 16, 2021, the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee voted to advance
President Biden's nominees for three key Labor Department leadership roles. The nominees, the positions to which they have been nominated, and the Senate vote to advance their nominations are:
- Raj Nayak, Assistant Secretary of Labor for Policy, 14-8;
- Taryn Mackenzie Williams, Assistant Secretary of Labor for Disability Employment Policy, 18-4; and
- Doug Parker, Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health, 13-9.
The nominees may now be considered by the full Senate at any time.
