New CWC Resource Explains Kentucky State Contractor Affirmative Action Requirements

October 23, 2025

What's New

CWC has published a new resource that covers the affirmative action requirements that Kentucky imposes on its contractors. Kentucky’s Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Contract Compliance monitors compliance with these obligations and sends instructions to contractors on submitting affirmative action programs.

CWC’s Guide to Kentucky State Contractor Affirmative Action Requirements will help CWC members navigate these requirements.

What It Means

Many states and localities require companies seeking to do business with the jurisdiction to either maintain or submit an affirmative action program. Following the rescission of federal Executive Order 11246, many federal contractors have asked whether such state and local affirmative action requirements remain intact or whether AAP modifications will be needed.

The answer varies by jurisdiction. CWC will publish additional state and local resource guides to ensure that our members have access to updated compliance resources.

What You Should Do

CWC member organizations subject to Kentucky’s affirmative action requirements should consult CWC’s new resource as they work to comply with the state’s standards. CWC members who desire help can contact CWC staff through MemberAssist at [email protected].
