On April 12, 2021, President Biden nominated
Douglas Parker to become an Assistant Secretary of Labor and Administrator of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Mr. Parker currently leads California's Division of Occupational Safety and Health, referred to as Cal/OSHA. During the Obama Administration, Parker served in DOL's Mine Safety and Health Administration.
At the same time, President Biden formally nominated Seema Nanda to serve as Solicitor of Labor and re-nominated EEOC Commissioner Jocelyn Samuels to serve another term on the EEOC.
