Bereavement Laws

While most employers might already offer bereavement leave, a small number of states make it a requirement to provide bereavement leave to eligible employees. This type of bereavement leave varies from it being paid or unpaid to the duration of the leave. In this Bereavement Leave Resource Tool, CWC provides a breakdown for employers of their compliance obligations in providing bereavement leave as required by state law.
