State Treatment of Vacation Pay

Several state jurisdictions restrict employers' ability to maintain "use it or lose it" policies related to accrued vacation leave and may require employers to pay employees the wage equivalent of any vacation leave earned but not used at termination. CWC's State Treatment of Vacation pay summarizes these various state requirements and allows members to quickly see their obligations related to vacation pay, if applicable.
