Yesterday, the President signed an Executive Order
(E.O.) that requires federal agencies to use emergency or similar authority to further rescind or modify regulations that might stand in the way of job creation and economic growth. The E.O. also requires agencies to review and temporary regulatory suspensions or rescissions to see if any should be made permanent in order to facilitate economic recovery.
The E.O. also directs agencies to adopt adjudicatory reform measures and review enforcement policy with respect to entities acting in good faith. CWC will publish a more detailed analysis of the E.O. in the near future.
