On Monday, the Labor Department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) published an
Interim Enforcement Response Plan for COVID-19. The Plan, which is directed toward OSHA officials and their state counterparts, provides significant guidance as to how OSHA will approach enforcement of workplace safety and health laws during the pandemic and how it will prioritize enforcement resources. The Plan includes reference to relevant OSHA standards and several helpful attachments, including sample letters that OSHA will use to communicate with employers when it receives notice of a COVID-19 related hazard in the workplace.
